The University of Oregon Rowing Team competes nationally at some of the most prestigious regattas in the United States. Our team trains new and experienced rowers eager for competition and success. As a first-year rower, you will compete against other first-year rowers across the nation. No prior rowing experience is necessary to try out for the team - most of our athletes have participated in other sports such as track, cross country, basketball, football, lacrosse, swim, water polo, etc. 

Our team is a tight-knit community that will provide you an opportunity to work competitively with others and form life-long friendships.

Fall 2024 Information Meetings:

 

October 3rd, 4th, and 11th at 4:30pm - Gerlinger Hall 242

GENERAL SEASON OUTLINE:

  • Fall Term - New athletes learn the sport of rowing and are introduced to our training.

  • Winter Term - Our new training cycle starts and consists of practice six days a week.

  • Spring Term - We practice on the water during the week and race on weekends.

We have an extensive team legacy that dates back to our founding in 1967. Our athletes and alumni continue our tradition of greatness in their athletics, academics, professions, and personal growth. Joining the team will give you the structure and resources needed to navigate college successfully while building great physical fitness.
